Kate Hudson has come up with a way for you to experience her new wine – without tasting a drop of it.

The Hollywood star has released her latest wine on virtual farming game FarmVille 2: Country Escape. Players can harvest grapes in order to press, ferment and sell virtual bottles of Hudson Bellamy Wines.

The wine making process is explained by an avatar of the actress wearing denim dungarees and wellingtons. Wannabe wine makers can choose to make a Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir or Rose.

Hudson and her fiancé Muse frontman Matthew Bellamy have been producing small lot wines since 2011.

Hudson spoke enthusiastically about the collaboration: “FarmVille 2: Country Escape is a fun and unique way to share our Hudson Bellamy Wines with a wide array of people.

“Our wines are small lot, so the rustic, community environment in the game fits right in with our values of making a sustainable, local product.”

Hudson attributes her interest in wine to her actor father Kurt Russell, who owns the wine company GoGi.

All profits from Hudson Bellamy Wines go to The Hawn Foundation, which works to improve children’s literacy and social skills, and War Child, which protects children living in war zones.
