A UK winery is preparing to host its 5th Annual Bacchus charity marathon, which will include dedicated wine tasting stations along its 26 mile route.
The event will be organised by Denbies Wine Estate in Surrey, the UK’s largest independent vineyard, and will take place on Sunday 14 September. Entrants are invited to run, or walk and sip, their way around the course whilst sampling the estate’s range of wines as they go.
The event will raise money for the Princess Alice Hospice, a local charity which is dedicated to Princess Alice Hospice, which is a local charity that aims to provide care and support for patients and careers.
For those that are more interested in the tasting than competitive sportsmanship, there will be a half marathon and a 2.5km fun run as well.
The event will take place on the same date as the original wine marathon, which is the Medoc Marathon in Bordeaux.
