As we get ready for the weekend, we pick out some of the highlights of London Wine Week. With only four days left here is how to make the most of it.
Take a flight
A London Wine Week wristband gets you deals in more than 100 venues across London. They cost £10 from the website or you can get two-for-one over at Time Out. Wristband wearers can get flights of wine for £5 from a host of bars, including Bar Pepito, Mission and Riding House Café.
Try Italian Champagne
Franciacorta is the Northern Italian equivalent of Champagne and it is becoming rather fashionable in the UK. Taste it for yourself at the pop-up dedicated to the drink in Andaz Hotel.
Make it a liquid lunch
The Tasting Station is holding one hour long tasting sessions at lunchtime, promising to leave you “still functioning” for going back to work in the afternoon.
The closing night of London Wine Week is a party dedicated entirely to bigger bottles. Enjoy a glass of Champagne served from a magnum bottle and a bbq before partying away the rest of the night.
